The Tribe keeps rolling on.

Coming off its second CAA title in program history, William & Mary (11-8) was paired against Northeast Conference champion Sacred Heart in the opening round of the NCAA Field Hockey Championship. The match will be played at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, November 8 in Chapel Hill, N.C.

The winner of the opening round matchup advances to face top-seeded and defending national champion North Carolina in the first round on Friday, November 10.

It marks the fourth NCAA Tournament appearance for the Tribe in program history and first since 2018. William & Mary is 1-3 all-time in the NCAA’s, earning its victory in the opening round of the 2018 NCAA Tournament.

W&M got past Monmouth, 3-2, in overtime in the CAA title game on Sunday. NEC champion Sacred Heart defeated Wagner, 1-0 in overtime on Sunday.
