Four Colonial Athletic Association lacrosse programs are ranked or receiving votes in the most recent national polls.
Drexel leads two CAA women’s programs ranked in both polls, as the Dragons hold at No. 15 in both the ILWomen/IWLCA poll and USA Lacrosse Rankings after being idle last week. Drexel, 3-0 on the year, will return to action Tuesday and Sunday with a challenging schedule of Navy (receiving consideration in the USA Lacrosse Magazine rankings) and Johns Hopkins, which is No. 20 in the ILWomen/IWLCA poll.
James Madison continues its run in the ILWomen/IWLCA poll, checking in at No. 21 this week and receiving votes from USA Lacrosse Magazine after a victory over High Point on Saturday. The Dukes are 2-2 on the year with their first three games coming against No. 2 North Carolina, Virginia Tech, and UConn and will face Ohio State on Friday.
Delaware keeps its standing of No. 17 in the USILA poll and Inside Lacrosse rankings, while dropping one spot to No. 15 in the USA Lacrosse Magazine voting. The Blue Hens went toe-to-toe with a top-20 Duke team in a midweek clash before defeating Monmouth to improve to 4-1 on the year and will travel to a top-20 Michigan team on Saturday.
UMass is receiving votes in the USILA coaches poll after a setback against a Boston University team receiving votes in the polls this week. The Minutemen are 1-2 so far this year in advance of a showdown with a top-10 Yale squad down I-91 in New Haven on Saturday.
