CAA Men's Lacrosse Weekly Awards - April 18
Delaware goalkeeper Matt Kilkeary earned CAA Player of the Week honors, and Fairfield midfielder Luke Okupski collected CAA Rookie of the Week accolades.
RICHMOND, Va. (Apr. 18, 2022) – The Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) has announced the recipients of its men’s lacrosse weekly awards. Delaware goalkeeper Matt Kilkeary earned CAA Player of the Week honors, and Fairfield midfielder Luke Okupski collected CAA Rookie of the Week accolades.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Matt Kilkeary, Delaware
Senior | Goalkeeper | Lake Sherwood, Calif. / Westlake
Kilkeary tied a career-high with 17 saves, leading Delaware to its first conference victory with an 11-10 win over Towson. The senior goalkeeper posted a .630 save percentage and scooped up three ground balls in the effort as the Blue Hens handed the Tigers their first loss in CAA play this spring. It marks the third double-digit save performance for Kilkeary this season, who was making his first start since February 22.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Luke Okupski, Fairfield

Okupski helped Fairfield to a 16-13 comeback victory over UMass with his contributions on the defensive end. The Stags midfielder caused a pair of turnovers and collected five ground balls in the contest as his efforts helped Fairfield keep UMass off the board for a span of 32:02, turning a 10-6 deficit midway through the second quarter into a 15-10 lead midway through the fourth.
